The 2022 Ford E-Transit battery is positioned beneath the vehicle body for maximum cargo capacity, offering up to 487.3 cubic feet of cargo space within the high-roof, extended-wheelbase design. E-Transit cargo vans provide commercial customers with the capability they require, with a maximum payload of 3,880 pounds and up to 4,428 pounds for cutaway versions, and a powerful electric motor delivering 266 horsepower/198 kilowatts of power and 317 lb.-ft. of torque13 across all configurations.

Work-Ready Features

Pro Power Onboard transforms E-Transit into a 2.3 kW transportable power source, allowing clients to use tools and recharge equipment on the job site, no matter where that might be. When compared to diesel cars, E-Transit offers best-in-class one-year, unlimited mileage service intervals, resulting in a 40% savings in the service cost of ownership. On the combined WLTP cycle, E-useable Transit's battery capacity of 67 kWh provides an estimated driving range of up to 350 km, providing adequate range to satisfy daily requirements while also allowing for fluctuations in vehicle load and weather conditions.

Charging Solutions

The drive modes of 2022 E-Transit are suited to the electric powertrain. According to Ford research, if E-Transit is operated unloaded with spirited acceleration or at highway speeds, a specific Eco Mode attempts to give up to an 8-10% improvement in energy usage. To help maximize the available driving range, Eco Mode limits top speed, regulates acceleration, and optimizes climate control. Scheduled Pre-Conditioning is also supported by the car, allowing the climate control system to be programmed to adjust the interior to the desired temperature while the vehicle is still charging, ensuring that the maximum driving range is accessible.
